January 17th Ted and Tammy Mertz moved a house onto a new wood basement on the former Lydia Herman lot in the northwest corner of Anamoose. The house came from Minnewauken where houses are being move out due to flooding from Devils Lake. Tammy Mertz told me they hope to have the house for sale by the end of February.
The Mertz’s own their own construction company, TM Construction, so are doing the remodeling on the house. A single car garage is being made into a living room and kitchen, and the dining room is being enlarged. There is one bedroom and bath and an unfinished basement.
If that isn’t enough work for Ted and Tammy they also have gutted the former Rudy Wohl house in southeast Anamoose. They plan to move in by fall.
It’s great to see these improvements in Anamoose!
