The advisory Committee for the Anamoose Area Community Foundation met last night to talk about the progress on our endowment fund and assess how much further we have to go in order to reach our goal. We also met the new Development Director from the North Dakota Community Foundation, Kara Geiger of Mandan, who will take over for Amy Warnke as our fundraising support person. Amy will continue to work out of the Grand Forks office with the eastern communities, while Kara focuses on the western part of the state.
We are happy to report that the Anamoose Endowment Fund has a current balance of $23,707! If we raise $1,300 more, the North Dakota Community Foundation will give us a bonus $5,000 through their matching gift program. After that, any additional funds raised before the end of the year will be matched dollar for dollar! Remember, the more money we raise before the end of the year, the more funds we will have to award in grants next year.
You can help us reach our goal by donating online at www.ndcf.net Click on the “Donate Now” button and choose “Anamoose Area Community Foundation” from the drop down menu. After you’ve made your contribution, be sure to spread the word to family and friends, especially those living outside Anamoose.
