Out of the Rocking Chair

What town usually has the most members at the Region ll & McHenry County Senior Citizen meetings?  ANAMOOSE!  We have had up to 17 members at an out of town meeting, & average about 13-15.  Raynold Buchholz is the president of the McHenry County Commission on Aging & Janice is secretary/treasurer for the Region ll Council on Aging.  Anamoose will host the next meeting of the McHenry County Commission on Aging in April.  Bill Goodwin serves on the Tri-County Meals & Services.  Phyllis Zimmerman is the Anamoose Senior Citizen president.

The Anamoose Seniors membership for 2010 is 74 with hopefully an increase in 2011 with the new year starting in January.   Sunday Brunches  held the first Sunday of the month are well attended.  Dennis Zimmerman & Bill Goodwin are co-chairman & cooks along with LaDonna Goodwin helping get started early Sunday am.  Socials are held the third Friday of the month.  Some of the past socials have been movies, cakewalks, & playing cards & dominos.
