It’s Over

The Reunion was great-with lots of good memories!  But now it’s time to move on.  The alumni committee met last week to evaluate the different events.  There were very few negatives and most of them were due to the floodings & things that couldn’t be controlled.  There needs to be at least one more meeting when all the bills are in.

It sounds like there will be another reunion with even some people thinking it should be in 5 years instead of 10.

Bonnie Helm put an article & pictures of the Reunion in the Mouse River Journal.  To see it & a thank you to all who helped with the Reunion go to www.anamoose.com under 2011 School Reunion.

I think you need to get some of the younger generations on the commitee for more things for the kids and younger adults to do during the days of the reunion.

  2. I thought the reunion was wonderful. I have been to all the reunions since they were started in 1963.
The past reunion is one of the best ones Anamoose has ever had. If anyone said they would get bored, Wrong. There was something to do for everyone all day long.
Hope there is another. Don’ t care if it is in 5 or 10 years. It just gives everyone a chance to get back to Anamoose for some good memories.

We have decided that without a name on a comment we will not put it on our blog.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the reunion happenings. I feel Anamoose did an great job. We especially enjoyed the Tribute to our Military. It was very touching and so important to those that served and spoke at the event. The only thing that would have made that better would have been the “fly over” by the Air Force, which was cancelled due to the flood. Anamoose looked so good all spruced up. After serving on many civic committees, I know what a hugh job it can be to pull this all together. Everyone needs to help and it seemed they did. I feel that a special invitation needs to be adddressed to everyone that ever went to school there, whether graduate or not. They should be invited thru the newpaper or fliers and welcomed, if you went to school there, “you are alumni”! Thanks for the great job!!!!! Was unable to attend all of reunion was attending funeral. Did take a swing thru the school and a little walk uptown before I left. Saw a few people I knew. Even this cute little blonde I had a crush on before we moved away. Would have graduated 1965 if we had stayed. Would like to see the reunion every 5 years. It would be a blast.

I was there. I enjoyed every moment. I like the parade a lot. I wish my Dad had been alive to see this.
