We had a great turnout Sunday for our Save the Bank Tour of Homes. Barb Martin had the Bake Sale/Snack Bar & Christmas Decoration Sale in her garage. From there the participants came to the 5 homes. Bonnie Helm, chairman, stated that 110 people toured the homes. A good number of men enjoyed the tour, and one said all he wanted to see was the John Deere collection.
Three delectable desserts were served along with Christmas cookies, apple cider and coffee. 1. Pictured is Bonnie Helm putting the finishing touch on her Key Lime Pie.
2.Gladys Degenstein (left) and Marceline Hoaglund packaged cookies that customers picked out.
3.We had a chair decoration raffle to also help raise money for the bank roof. Judy Lemer won the decoration. Ironically her name was drawn by her sister, Rita Weninger (left).
I forgot to take pictures at Bonnie Dockter’s house where she featured her Santa Clauses.
4.Barb Martin had one room devoted just to her village collection.
5.Mardell and Calvin Helm had snowmen and decorations throughout their home.
6.Barbie and TJ Martin also decorated several floors of their home for us to see.
I featured my quilts and Vernon showed his John Deere collection.
