At noon today 37 members of the One World Singers from Denver, Colorado stopped to eat. Connie Rudnick, owner of the Anamoose Café, rented the Senior Center to serve them & her regular customers. The group flew into Bismarck & rented a bus toRugby where they will perform tonight, plus a week of concerts at Minot, Devils Lake, the Peace Gardens, Grand Forks, & Winnipeg. Joline Black, who arranged the ND tour, is a Rugby native & her parents live in Knox.
In years past the group has traveled to Europe to sing. They sing songs from all over the world.
While we ate, Francis Seefeld entertained us on his accordion. Deb Miller, owner of Premium Gold Flax of Denhoff, gave a presentation on her products. She said 97% of all flax grown in the US is grown in ND, & her 6 generation family farm is the largest growers in the US.
After singing a song for us, the group walked 3 1/2 blocks to my house to see Vernon’s John Deere toy collection & my quilts.
