Alyce Heer accepted grant at St. Joseph Community Health Foundation award dinner

St. Joseph Community Health Foundation gave a $6,000 matching grant to the Anamoose Job Development Association (JDA) to make the Farmtastic Food Hub handicapped accessible.  The grant will pay for a rest room-wider door, handrails, and increase the size from 6×6 to 8×8.  It will also pay for a handicapped power door opener, and a ramp with handrails.

This is the third grant received to rehab the historic post office located north of the Anamoose Café.

well sad day in annamoose today. a sheriff went door to door in town today delivering bad news to all elderly and low income house holds, who of no fault of there own btw, cant pay there special assessments for the paving project that had very little support but was approved. sad that the city council was well aware of the risk of out pricing families paid for property and risk of loosing it over assessments but went ahead anyway promising no one would be forced out of town or would loose land if u were low income or elderly on fixed income , lies btw. many families recieved the same hand delivered letter i did , stating as of oct 1st you loose the deed to your home ty anamoose and special thanks to the council
